Cartoonist Defends Comparing Black Republican Representative to KKK

Liberal hypocrisy at its finest rears its ugly head in Utah

Liberal hypocrisy at its finest rears its ugly head in Utah. In an incredibly insensitive and flat-out racist cartoon, the Salt Lake Tribune published an editorial cartoon comparing Republican Representative from Utah, Burgess Owens, who is black, to the Ku Klux Klan. Once again, liberals and progressives see no issue in actually being racist if they are accusing a Republican. Even a Black one.

Satirist Pat Bagley compared the “rhetoric by Owens about migrants crossing the southern border to comments made by the Ku Klux Klan 70 years ago” reports Fox News. “The @sltrib and @Patbagley compare me to the KKK, the radical hate group that terrorized me in my youth because I am one of many sounding the alarm of the trauma being faced by women and children crossing the border. This is pathetic” Owens responded on Twitter.

Owens’ posted the satirical photo along with his response calling out the hypocrisy. Owens ended his Tweet calling out the cartoonist for their “#wokeracism.” The Salt Lake Tribune did not immediately respond to a request for comment, reports Fox News.

Although Bagley did not respond to the request for comment, he did defend his cartoon on Twitter. “Any one of these Utah pols uttered the white supremacist dog whistle Burgess Owens used he would have been featured in the cartoon. Treating Owens differently because of his race is the definition of racism” wrote Bagley. “If Owens doesn’t want to be dunked for using white supremacist talking points then he shouldn’t use white supremacist talking points” concluded Bagley.

We should be used to outrageous cartoons, they are the bread and butter of political commentary, although this cartoon is plainly fallacious. Interesting that the Salt Lake paper, like all reporting organizations loves to press for comments in their own reporting, but has retreated behind a wall of silence when queried themselves.

I am saddened at the hypocrisy in our country today! I was raised with my Italian family, the only immigrant family in a small all white town in East of Birmingham, Al. I can remember my mother telling me about the nights the KKK burned crosses in the front yard of my grandparents farm house. I went to the same Elementary school as my mom with the children of the same kids who abused my mother and her siblings. I kept bruises on my shins from being kicked or rocks thrown at me and this was in 1960. The racism was horrid back then. My Grandfather was an amazing man who put baskets of vegetables from his farm out at the street in front of his farm for anyone to have free. I saw dirt roads with small signs on a tree either the letters “KKK” growing up in that small town. I was not allowed to go into the houses of my friend as we played but my parents taught me to love all. We were seemingly getting through racism in the USA until Obama stepped into the White House snd it all blew up again. President Trump did all that he could to erase the racism Obama brought back. Now with Biden, or whom ever is running our country, racism is blazing hot once again. It is sad and it is a shame that a black man or woman can not be a Republican in our government without being portrayed as evil or a racist. I am ashamed of my country. I am very sorry for Representative Owens being compared to the KKK. I pray that this country can come back to freedom and unity. President Donald J Trump did, indeed, make America Great Again and it scared politicians as he exposed the corruption in our government. Joe Biden’s build back better is crumbling as cities burn and racism is scorching hot. God help us!

Candace Owens had a child wrote about her for Black History month the teacher said it was racists. Oh Greg Guitfield had a skit take off SNL and they had two people calling each other racist’s and arguing saying you are racists the other said no you are than your mother is racists the other one said your grandmother is racists. I wish more of the left wing radical could see how absurd they sound. Did you think they would laugh probably not.

If the history books are erased, it will remove the truth about the KKK and their founders… The very party, Democratic’s who are making the most noise founded the KKK. President Lincoln who ended slavery was,,,,, a Republican! There is a photo at Democrat WV Senator Robert Bird’s funeral who was a HIGH RANKING MEMBER IN THE KKK in the 1940’s.
In the very front row of the photo… Clinton, Biden and Obama… This generation of uneducated college people are dumb.
If they can find a black person hiding under a KKK sheet in the history books, that would be history…
Stay strong Rep Owens and help my state of Utah… SLC is not looking healthy.

Isn’t it odd that Pat Bagley’s own words “treating Owen’s differently because of his race is the definition of racism.” Indicates he has a proper understanding of the word.
I wonder then why he would support the current treatment of the “white” race differently based on race. This IS the definition of hypocrisy! This obsession with skin color needs to be called out whenever it occurs! The left must keep this hate alive in order to control all of us for their own benefit! Thank you Leo for your courage!

Sen. Sinema Appears To Quickly Pull A U-Turn After Seeing Biden

Published

Kyrsten Sinema

Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) – who dealt a potentially fatal blow to the Democrats’ election reform legislation by refusing President Biden’s push to reform Senate filibuster rules – appears to have avoided Biden as he spoke to reporters after meeting with Senate Democrats to the legislation.

In a video posted on YouTube, as Biden speaks to reporters, Sinema can be seen emerging from a Senate room in the background. As soon as Sinema appears to see Biden, she turns around and walks in the other direction.

Under current Senate rules, at least 60 senators would need to support Biden’s election reform legislation for it to pass. With the 50-50 split in the Senate, Democrats would need at least 10 Republicans to support the bill for it to have any chance of passing. In order to bypass this, Biden has pushed for eliminating the filibuster, which would effectively allow Democrats to ram through their legislation.

On Thursday, Sinema announced that she did not support eliminating the filibuster to allow the bills to pass through the Senate.

“There’s no need for me to restate my longstanding support for the 60-vote threshold to pass legislation. There’s no need for me to restate its role in protecting our country from wild reversals of federal policy,” Sinema said, according to Fox News. “This week’s harried discussions about Senate rules are but a poor substitute for what I believe could have and should have been a thoughtful public debate at any time over the past year.”

“But what is the legislative filibuster, other than a tool that requires new federal policy to be broadly supported by senators, representing the broader cross-section of Americans… Demands to eliminate this threshold from whichever party holds the fleeting majority amount to a group of people separated on two sides of a canyon, shouting that solution to their colleagues,” she continued.

“These bills help treat the symptoms of the disease, but they do not fully address the disease itself. And while I continue to support these bills, I will not support separate actions that worsen the underlying disease of division affecting our country,” Sinema added.

“Some have given up on the goal of erasing our divisions and uniting Americans. I have not,” Sinema stated. “I’ve worked hard to demonstrate in my public service, the value of working with unlikely allies to get results.”
