CNN panel of republican never-Trumpers get into hilarious heated roast-war

CNN host Don Lemon featured a panel of anti-Trump republicans, but the segment quickly went south when two of the three turned on one another.

One of the panelists, former Trump official Anthony Scaramucci, was discussing America’s deep division regardless of who is president and said that support for Trump was “identity politics and economics.”

This fired up Ana Navarro, who said she hates the term “identity politics” because it refers to minorities like herself.

“I don’t agree with it, Ana. I’m just pointing out what it is,” Scaramucci fired back.

“Well then don’t use it. Don’t use it because it’s a stupid – you know damn well it’s a dog whistle, Anthony. You’re too smart for that,” Navarro bit back as Lemon tried to end the segment.

At this point, we’re in too deep.

Amanda Carpenter, former senior communications adviser for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), felt must have felt left out, quickly injecting herself into the back-and-forth.

Carpenter replied to the comment about Scaramucci’s intelligence, saying “Well, he worked for Trump, so I don’t know.”

Lemon entered into an uncontrollable laughing fit before egging on Scaramucci to fire back.

“You worked for Ted Cruz. You worked for Ted Cruz, a full-on traitor. What are you talking about? You don’t have any standing to say that,” Scaramucci rebutted.

Things soon got intense between the two.

“Excuse me? Excuse me, Anthony Scaramucci. I remember you going to the cameras and praising Donald Trump to the hilt,” she said. “When I worked for Ted Cruz? You want to go there? He took principled constitutional stands.”

“You didn’t praise Ted Cruz when you worked for him?” Scaramucci asked.

“Excuse me, what was that?” Carpenter fired back. “You really think I should answer to you about my work history when you were Donald Trump’s communications person willingly? Get lost!”

“Don’t be a hypocrite on national TV,” Scaramucci said. “I owned to the mistake of Donald Trump. Try not to be a hypocrite on national TV.”

“I am happy to talk about Ted Cruz…I write about it,” Carpenter said. “But, Anthony, you were Donald Trump’s mouthpiece and everybody knew what kind of person he was then and has shown himself to be now. So it’s very hard to take any advice that you have seriously.”

Cut the cameras!

“Boy, that went sideways. Thank you all,” Lemon said as he ended the segment.

Yikes.

We know the election was stolen. The people that stormed the Capital are sick of it. I don’t blame them one bit for their anger. We feel like our government has failed us.

Don Limone is always either sleepwalking or spreading lies and venom with nothing else in between. I xmcan’t fathom how or why he is where he is. Scarammuce embarrasses himself and is so arrogant and lacking in self awareness that he thinks people don’t see it. Just to name two that really are unworthy of thier station. Sludge bumming up the works so that greater productivity is highly unlikely.

National Public Radio Discontinues Reading the Declaration of Inependence

A post by Todd Starnes alerts that National Public Radio (NPR) has ditched its annual ritual of reading the Declaration of Independence. NPR, derisively referred to by Starnes as “National Public Welfare Radio,” announced the cessation of reading the Declaration. Which staffers at the taxpayer-funded radio network had been reading aloud the document since 1988.

The void that would have resulted from not reading the Declaration was not unfilled. “Instead, NPR broadcast an 11-minute conversation about whether or not the Founding Fathers actually meant the words “all men are created equal.” Here’s a link if you’d like to listen to their “screed” (which also reminds us frequently that many of the Founding Fathers owned slaves).

Starnes disclosed that he owns “KWAM, the leading news talk radio station in Memphis, Tennessee. It angers me that my tax dollars are used to prop up a broadcast competitor that spits on our Founding Fathers and our Founding Documents.”

Interestingly, NPR’s newly voiced contempt and cynicism for the Declaration of Independence does not encompass refusing taxpayer-funded government support. Whether or not the Founding Fathers meant what they said and what they wrote may be grist for energetic banter on a radio program that is increasingly committed to shrill progressive virtue signaling. However, the topic of this discussion among smug well-remunerated media activists is irrelevant. The words of the Founding Fathers have been inspirational for two hundred and forty-six years and have been the moral and legal foundation used to free the slaves and develop Constitutional principles to ensure that slavery can never be implemented in this country. Slavery currently exists in several countries now, but NPR is dedicated to ignoring that scourge.

Trump Will Not Return To Twitter Despite Elon Musk Acquisition

Published

Donald Trump

On Monday, former President Donald Trump said that he is not going to return to Twitter, which he was permanently banned from last year, after Twitter’s board of directors unanimously approved the sale of the company to Elon Musk.

Trump told Fox News that he is “not going on Twitter” and that he is instead going to be busy on his new social media platform, Truth Social.

“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,” Trump told Fox News. “We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter. Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can.”

“The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter,” Trump concluded.

As Fox News explained, “Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat following the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot. Twitter deemed a number of his tweets connected to the violent protests as inflammatory and warned of ‘the risk of further incitement of violence.’”

On Monday, Twitter’s board of directors unanimously agreed to be acquired by Elon Musk for $54.20 per share, or approximately $44 billion.

“The two sides worked through the night to hash out a deal that would be valued at $54.20 a share, or $44 billion,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “Twitter had been expected to rebuff the offer, which Mr. Musk made April 14 without saying how he would pay for it, and put in place a so-called poison pill to block him from increasing his stake. But after [Musk] disclosed that he has $46.5 billion in financing and the stock market swooned, Twitter changed its posture and opened the door to negotiations.”

In a press release, Musk highlighted the importance of free speech and Twitter’s role as a “digital town square.”

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”
