Former NFL Player Says Kaepernick ‘Doctrine’ is ‘Single Largest Threat to Black Men’ in U.S.

Former NFL player Jack Brewer, who is Black, is criticizing Colin Kaepernick over his Netflix docuseries. Clips of the special titled “Colin in Black & White,” were released on October 29th. In the clips, Kaepernick compares football players getting picked to play in the NFL to buying slaves at auctions.

Brewer slammed Kaepernick for the comparison saying “he has an evil, anti-American spirit.” Brewer also chastised Netflix saying the special should be “illegal.” Brewer, who has played for the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals, said Kaepernick’s comments are harmful to minorities.

During a segment on Fox News, Brewer said, “this new Colin Kaepernick doctrine that’s penetrating the minds and hearts of so many of our underserved black kids is the single largest threat to black men in the United States of America.”

“Because right now, folks are thinking that they’re victims are living in the most prosperous, the most opportunity [sic] in any country in the world” added Brewer. Kaepernick’s annual salary averaged $19 million when he played. Nonetheless, Kaepernick compares his $19 million paycheck opportunity to the brutal treatment and buying and selling of slaves.

Kaepernick says in the clip that coaches and scouts don’t want players to understand that the NFL Draft and training camp establishes a ‘power dynamic.’ “Before they put you on the field, teams poke, prod, and examine you searching for any defect that might affect your performance,” says Kaepernick as actors re-enact slave auctions on screen.

Brewer told Fox News Kaepernick should be promoting positivity to impressionable children. “He doesn’t have that spirit in him. He has an evil anti-American spirit. And it’s sick and disgusting or think that even Netflix -someone that big and popular – would even put something out like that to penetrate the mind of these” kids. “It should be illegal.”

    This clown started all of this because he knew he was going to be cut by 49ers. Plus, his girlfriend is Muslim and she wears the pants and is the brains of the pair. Also, he’s a hypocrite, has had the best of everything and appreciative of nothing. Mostly, he’s just a fake! He cares for no-one especially blacks. Anything for attention! Besides, he was not that great of a nfl player. I know of a guy from Florida that was a lot better but because he is a Christian he was crucified by the media and left wingnuts.

    Americans have a choice to become someone special. To share a positive life style with out the color of skin being trashed to fit there narrow minded one sided adjective.
    First off the NFL Commissioner should of been REMOVED! To allow one to disrespectfully our national Anthem.
    Its not ok to spew anger to fellow citizens, ticket holders and those who fought and gave their all.
    The NFL Commissioner should of been Removed. What a sad excuse the NFL Q.B pulled by showing his self with no discipline for our Armed forces.
    There’s other ways to make a point.
    I’m one person who wishes all Americans peace & prosperity.
    And I hope the NFL Removes the NFL Commissioner NOW . The appointed person being the NFL Commissioner
    Reeks !He needs to Resign !
