The hypocrisy of the Hollywood elite is simply astounding.
In the latest episode of Hollywood gone woke, celebrities of all kinds flocked to Sicily, Italy to discuss climate change at the Google Camp summit.
But, ironically enough, their attendance may come at a steep cost to the cause they claim to be fighting for.
“Everything is about global warming, that is the major topic this year,” a source told the New York Post.
What’s more, the three-day event will cost Google $20 million.
Many of the guests – including Barack Obama and Leonardo DiCaprio – have expressed concern about global warming, naming it the biggest threat to future generations.
But, while claiming to care so much about the environment, these celebrities are supposedly showing up in 114 different private jets, Fox News reports.
Taking 114 flights from Los Angeles to Palermo would reportedly release 100,000 kilograms of CO2 into the air.
“Google Camp is meant to be a place where influential people get together to discuss how to make the world better,” a source told the Post. “There will likely be discussions about online privacy, politics, human rights, and of course, the environment, which makes it highly ironic that this event requires 114 private jets to happen.”
Attendees, who were personally invited by Google founder Sergey Brin and Larry Page, will cover their own travel costs to Sicily’s Verdura Resort, but Google will pay for the rest of their expenses.
Other stars in attendance will include Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Harry Styles, Bradley Cooper, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Diane von Furstenberg and others, Fox News reports.
Private jets aren’t the only chosen method of transportation. Some of these stars are choosing to arrive by yacht.
But not just any yacht, mega yacht.
Diane von Furstenberg, a designer, arrived on her $200 million yacht, and Dreamworks founder David Geffen arrived on his $400 million yacht.
Another example of the left-wing elitist motto: do as I say, not as I do.
Care about global warming, but don’t show up to a global warming summit on a private jet.
