Karine Jean-Pierre Makes Bizarre Claim For Why Biden Is ‘Optimistic’ About Midterms
On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that President Biden was “optimistic” on if Democrats would maintain control of Congress after the midterm elections because most Americans do not support “denying an election.” Notably, Jean-Pierre and Biden have both denied election results in the past.
“Does President Biden think democracy can’t survive if Democrats aren’t in charge of Congress?” Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked.
“The president is optimistic. He understands that a majority of Americans do not believe in denying an election,” Jean-Pierre responded.

Notably, in December 2016, a month after former President Trump beat Hillary Clinton, Jean-Pierre tweeted: “Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election …..welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump.”
Additionally, as recently as April 2020, Jean-Pierre tweeted: “Reminder: Brian Kemp stole the gubernatorial election from Georgians and Stacey Abrams.”
And in 2013, Biden denied presidential election results, saying that Al Gore, the 2000 Democratic presidential nominee, actually beat former President Bush at the time.
“This man was elected president of the United States of America,” Biden said.
