Poll Shows Voters Doubt Biden’s ‘Health’ and ‘Mental Fitness’

A POLITICO/Morning Consult Poll shows Americans are increasingly concerned over the health and mental fitness of President Biden. Biden is the oldest man ever sworn into office. “Only 40 percent of voters surveyed agreed with the statement that Biden ‘is in good health,’ while 50 percent disagreed. That 10-percentage-point gap — outside the poll’s margin of error — represents a massive 29-point shift since October 2020, when Morning Consult last surveyed the question and found voters believed Biden was in good health by a 19-point margin.”

1,998 registered voters were polled November 13-15. The voters didn’t find Biden a clear communicator by 20 points, and didn’t find him energetic by 26 points. They did not find him a strong leader by 17 points.

“Asked whether Biden is mentally fit, voters are almost evenly split, with 46 percent saying he is and 48 percent disagreeing. But that negative 2-point margin stands in stark contrast to Biden’s numbers last October, when voters believed he was mentally fit by a 21-point margin” reports POLITICO.

“The poll questions are part of a long battery of attributes about which voters were asked to rate Biden — the same battery employed multiple times during Donald Trump’s presidency, and asked about both candidates last fall, prior to the 2020 presidential election.”

Biden turns 79 on Saturday and curiosity is sparking political circles as to whether or not he will run for reelection in three years. Additionally, “Democrats have grown increasingly concerned with the party’s gerontocracy. Biden says he will run again, but some longtime allies have raised doubts. Even “Saturday Night Live” recently ribbed Biden over whether he was “lucid.”

POLITICO writes:

The most intense scrutiny of Biden’s age and his verbal miscues had previously been limited to conservative news outlets and social media, said Celinda Lake, a Democratic pollster who has surveyed for Biden.

“They’re running a very aggressive campaign on this, and it’s bleeding over into the mainstream a little,” Lake said. “By and large, the people who believe this are Trump supporters anyway or they’ve been exposed to the right-wing disinformation machine.”

To Lake’s point, the Morning Consult poll generally shows that Trump voters and Republicans generally believe Biden is neither physically nor mentally fit, and Biden voters believe the opposite. However, independents — by a margin of 23 points — don’t agree that Biden is mentally fit now.

Before last year’s election, independents and voters overall believed Biden was more physically and mentally fit than Trump, whose mismanagement of the pandemic damaged his campaign as the Biden camp embraced social distancing and mostly eschewed large events.

But with Trump gone as a foil for now, Biden is more in the spotlight than ever, and his overall approval rating began collapsing with the bloody withdrawal from Afghanistan. The ravages of the coronavirus Delta variant, congressional squabbling and public perceptions about the economy also contributed to Biden’s troubles.

The new Morning Consult poll shows 44 percent give Biden a positive job approval rating and 53 percent disapprove. Biden’s approval rating is essentially unchanged over the past two weeks — it was 46 percent last week and 45 percent the week prior — since the passage of the infrastructure bill in Congress earlier this month.

The guy who got furious and became unglued that someone should question him about giving $450,000 to each illegal alien who got separated from their family… well, he also has the nuclear codes and his hand upon the ‘nuke button’. He’s the same guy who didn’t listen to his generals about leaving troops in Afghanistan. He’s the same guy who promised no one would be left behind, then left American’s behind anyway. He’s the same guy who banned live news coverage of ‘The Border’ and forbade border agents or ‘the military’ from talking to reporters. Sleep safe tonight. Someone with dementia is running the country.

CNN Suspends Chris Cuomo ‘Indefinitely, Pending Further Evaluation’

On Tuesday, CNN suspended Chris Cuomo “indefinitely, pending further evaluation” after new information was revealed detailing the help he gave his brother ex-Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo in handling numerous sexual misconduct allegations.

“Chris Cuomo was actively in touch with Melissa DeRosa, who was the then-governor’s top aide, about incoming media reports that detailed alleged sexual harassment by Andrew Cuomo, according to exhibits from the Attorney General’s probe and a transcript of his interview with the state’s investigators,” CNBC reported. “He also lobbied to help the governor’s office as it sought to weather the storm of accusations, and he dictated statements for the then-governor to use.”

“Please let me help with the prep,” Chris Cuomo asked DeRosa in a message in from early March. Then, three days after a New York Times report from March explained how Andrew Cuomo attempted to forcefully kiss a woman, Anna Ruch, at a wedding, Chris Cuomo texted DeRosa, “I have a lead on the wedding girl.”

Quickly after the new was publicized, CNN issued a comment saying they would be reviewing the information.

“The thousands of pages of additional transcripts and exhibits that were released today by the NY Attorney General deserve a thorough review and consideration,” CNN spokesman Matt Dornic said. “We will be having conversations and seeking additional clarity about their significance as they relate to CNN over the next several days.”

After reviewing, CNN announced Chris Cuomo’s suspension a statement, saying, “The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense. The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions.

When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother’s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second. However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation.”

In August, Andrew Cuomo resigned after an independent investigation found he had “sexually harassed a number of current and former New York State employees.”

The former New York governor’s scandal began in December 2020, when the first of 11 women accused him of sexual misconduct. The victims, who were mostly his employees, said Cuomo engaged in sexually aggressive behavior including nonconsensual kissing, groping, inappropriate invitations to play strip poker and comments about their sex lives.

The investigation found that “the Governor sexually harassed a number of current and former New York State employees by, among other things, engaging in unwelcome and nonconsensual touching, as well as making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women.”

The investigation additionally “revealed that the Governor’s sexually harassing behavior was not limited to members of his own staff, but extended to other State employees, including a State Trooper on his protective detail and members of the public.” It concluded that Cuomo created a culture “filled with fear and intimidation, while at the same time normalizing the Governor’s frequent flirtations and gender-based comments” which “contributed to the conditions that allowed the sexual harassment to occur and persist.”

Biden Not Planning To Visit Victims Of Black Supremacist Attack In Wisconsin

Published

Joe Biden

During Monday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that President Joe Biden has no plans to visit the victims of the black supremacist attack on a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, that occurred last week after the announcement of the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict.

“Since the President said that this administration is monitoring the situation in Waukesha closely, it has been revealed by prosecutors that the assailant — the assailant swerved his truck side to side as part of an intentional act to run over as many people as possible,” a reporter said. “Six people are dead. Some children remain hospitalized.”

“Why hasn’t the President visited the members of this Christmas parade attack?” the reporter asked.

“Well, I would say first: As you saw the President convey last week, our hearts go out to this community, to the people in Waukesha; that we’ve been in touch, obviously, with officials there; and we’re all watching as people are recovering. And this is such a difficult time of year for this to happen. It’s a difficult anytime,” Psaki said. “Obviously, any President going to visit a community requires a lot of assets, requires taking their resources, and it’s not something that I have a trip previewed at this plan- — point in time, but we remain in touch with local officials. And certainly, our hearts are with the community as they’ve gone through such a difficult time.”

Last week, a man was accused of driving a red SUV through a Christmas parade in Wisconsin. The man had numerous posts on his social media expressing support for Black Lives Matter and “black nationalist rhetoric” along with disdain for Republican politicians and conservative media.

“A lone subject intentionally drove his maroon SUV through barricades into a crowd of people that was celebrating the Waukesha Christmas Parade which resulted in killing five individuals and injuring 48 additional individuals,” city police chief Dan Thompson said at a press conference. “I just received information that two of the 48 are children and they’re in critical condition.”

The online news outlet Heavy revealed that the suspect “posted anti-police rhetoric” and “black nationalist rhetoric” on social media. He also “posted a photoshopped fake image of former Republican Governor Scott Walker as a Nazi.”

One Twitter user posted a list of some of the suspect’s now-deleted Facebook posts, which showed extremist support for BLM.

The suspect also has a long criminal history, having “been charged with or convicted on an array of charges over the past 22 years, including battery, domestic violence, cocaine possession and resisting arrest in several jurisdictions in Wisconsin,” The New York Times reported. “He has served at least two jail sentences and spent years on probation and in court-mandated work-release and anger management programs.”
