Rapper Loza Alexander created the song “Let’s go Brandon” playing off of the incident when NBC sports reporter Kelli Stavast misinterpreted the NASCAR crowd, which was chanting “F*** Joe Biden.”

Alexander first released his song on TikTok which then quickly went viral. Now, the song has reached the number one spot on the iTunes hip-hop chart. NBC reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing driver Brandon Brown after his win at the famous Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

During her interview of the racing champ, the crowd took the opportunity to express their disappointment with President Biden with the curse-filled chant. Stavast heard the crowd and said mid-interview, “Brandon, you also told me – as you can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go, Brandon’ – Brandon, you told me you were gonna kinda hang back those first two stages and just watch and learn…what did you learn that helped you in those closing laps?”

The interview itself went viral as viewers speculated as to whether or not the NBC reporter was purposefully attempting to cover up the anti-Biden rhetoric. Nonetheless, “Let’s go Brandon” became the new sensation to signal the “F*** Joe Biden” sentiment across the country.

T-shirts, bumper stickers, hats, etc. with the phrase “Let’s go Brandon” have become wildly popular. Rapper Alexander cleverly honed in on the popularity and is now an iTunes Number One Hip Hop artist.
