It’s not just the royal family that is mad at Prince Harry; the Taliban has chimed in to mock the royal. In his new memoir, Prince Harry stated he had killed 25 Taliban members which he described as ‘chess pieces’ during his deployment to Afghanistan in 2012.

Taliban leaders have shot back at the Royal with a taunt by telling MailOnline they got the last laugh over the West and the ‘big mouth loser’ Duke of Sussex because they were able to regain control of their country in 2021.

The Daily Mail UK reports:

The Taliban said while their Mujaheddin ‘chess pieces’ are the ultimate victors of the conflict, Harry had ‘fled to his grandmother’s palace’ and is now struggling to maintain a place in the Royal Family, in response to the claims made in the soon-to-be-released book – which leaked in Spain days before its official release date.

Prince Harry also took a jab at the United States military saying they did not use large enough bombs in order to kill more Taliban fighters. He also claims his advice to the Americans were ignored ahead of an air strike on a bunker.

Abul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Taliban ministry of foreign affairs said in a statement that “the western occupation of Afghanistan is truly an odious moment in human history and comments by Prince Harry are a microcosm of the trauma experienced by Afghans.”

The Daily Mail UK adds that “despite promising a more progressive regime than when they were last in power in 2001, the new Taliban rulers have eroded the rights of women and minority groups in the country.”

Additionally, the report notes Harry’s memoir is the latest “in a string of public revelations and accusations by Harry and Meghan that have shaken the Royal Family.”
