President Trump is expected to make a Supreme Court nominee for the vacancy left by Justice Ginsburg’s death this weekend. Friday, multiple sources told Fox News Trump will announce Amy Coney Barrett as his nominee. The President is expected to make the announcement Saturday at the White House.

Judge Amy Barrett currently serves on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. According to Fox News, Barrett has long been considered a front runner “to potentially replace former Justice Anthony Kennedy on the high court. Though Trump eventually selected Justice Brett Kavanaugh for the slot, news outlets reported at the time that Trump said he was ‘saving her for Ginsburg.”

Barrett, 48, clerked for late Justice Antonin Scalia and a former Notre Dame professor as well as “devout Catholic, a fact that was controversial at her 2017 confirmation hearing to her current seat on the 7th Circuit. ‘The dogma lives loudly within you, and that’s of concern” said Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

Republicans have 53 seats in the Senate where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has vowed to put Trump’s nominee up for a vote. GOP Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins have Maine have alluded to opposing the confirmation. “Murkowski recently softened her stance on the matter, indicating that even if she has objections to the process she may vote on the eventual nominee based on her qualifications” reported Fox News.

BLM Leader Vows to ‘Abolish’ NYC Mayor De Blasio’s Vax Passports

Says ‘Free Pass to Racism’,  ‘Modern-Day Freedom Papers’

New York Mayor Bill De Blasio’s vaccine mandates and consequential vaccine passports necessary to enter most bars and restaurants in the city are being dubbed racist by a Black Lives Matter leader.

Chivona Newsome co-founded the Greater New York Chapter of BLM and also ran as a congressional candidate in 2020 for New York’s 15th district sent a statement to Fox News explaining the claims of racism.

“Although Mayor Bill De Blasio ran on progressives values, nothing in his tenure will attest to his campaign promises,” Newsome stated. “The September 13th vaccine mandate is racist and specifically targets Black New Yorkers. The vaccination passports are modern-day Freedom Papers, which limit the free will of Black people.”

De Blasio’s mandates went into effect September 13, ordering indoor establishments making patrons show proof of vaccination before entering. Businesses can face fines up to $5,000 for not complying. On September 20, the Mayor’s office announced it had already issued 3,200 warnings to businesses in the first week.

Newsome continued, “The vaccination mandates infringe upon the civil liberties of the Black community…It’s more than where we can dine or enjoy entertainment, it will result in loss of income. As of Monday, September 27, Black health care workers and educators will lose their jobs.”

Newsome’s concerns for minorities and repercussions such as losing jobs is the same reasoning hundreds of groups and unions across the country have stood up against Biden’s vaccine mandate. Postal workers, Police unions, Nurse Unions and Hospital administrators are all amongst those expressing outrage.

Newsome says De Blasio’s actions are a direct attack on black Americans, and he “chose to disenfranchise and force the very people who elected him into poverty and second-class citizenship.”

She explained that de Blasio is, “fully aware of the hesitancy and distrust people of African descent have about vaccination and their interactions with government and law enforcement.” Newsome concluded, “the vaccination passport will not be a free pass to racism. Our organization pledges to demonstrate until the vaccine mandate is abolished.”

Democrat Pushes Back On False Claim Border Patrol Agents Whipped Migrants

Henry Cuellar

During a CNN interview on Tuesday, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) pushed back on false claims by other Democrat lawmakers that U.S. Border Patrol agents riding horses were swinging whips at illegal immigrants trying to cross the southern border.

CNN anchor Victor Blackwell pushed the false information during, saying the Border Patrol agents were hitting migrants with what “appears to use what looks like a rope or a lasso” and then asking Cuellar for his reaction.

“Well, you know, certainly, we got to make sure we treat all the immigrants with respect and dignity,” Cuellar responded. “But I will say this, Border Patrol has had those horse brigades for a while, they’ve had them for a while, number one. Number two, they don’t carry whips. And they do not carry lassos. I think the picture you’re talking about, at least the one I’ve seen is the rein, the rein of the horses.”

“And should those be used? Should those be used should even if it is a rein?” Blackwell asked.

“Well, again, if there was a problem, it should be investigated,” Cuellar responded. “And I think that’s it, but we cannot paint the Border Patrol with that same type of paintbrush. Look, you know, what are they supposed to do? Just stand there and let everybody come in? You know, they’re supposed to be enforcing the law, but again, as to how you enforce the law, you got to make sure you treat people with dignity and respect.”

The CNN interview came after a video surfaced of illegal immigrants attempting to evade U.S. Border Patrol agents on horses and run into the country. In response, many Democrats falsely declared that the agents were using whips on the migrants – despite the fact that Border Patrol agents do not carry whips and there being zero evidence any of the agents struck any of the migrants.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), for example, tweeted, “The images of inhumane treatment of Haitian migrants by Border Patrol—including the use of whips—are unacceptable They are fleeing violence and natural disaster and seeking protection in our country The Administration must uphold our refugee laws and stop Title 42 deportations.”
