Leo Terrell appeared on Varney & Co. Monday to discuss the upcoming Senate runoff election in Georgia.

“Let me answer that question very quickly. Was it a political mistake for him to make that phone call? Absolutely not,” Terrell said. “President Trump acted accordingly to make that phone call. I heard the whole tape. He gave the secretary of state information about why he felt there was corruption and fraud in Georgia and he asked the secretary of state to reconsider.”

Terrell urged that Donald Trump has completely redefined the republican party, calling himself a “Trump republican.”

“Regarding going to Georgia, let me be very clear. I am a Trump republican. Donald Trump has 75 million people behind him. He has redefined the republican party. It is going to be the benefit of Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue for Donald J. Trump to go to Georgia.”

When asked if he is worried that the polls are leaning towards the democrats, Terrell warned that he hasn’t trusted the polls for 6 years.

“I respectfully disagree. I don’t believe the polls for the last 6 years and I’ll tell you right now that the polls have not been a true indicator of what happened.”

Terrell said that if Ossoff and Warnock are elected to the Senate, we will lose the American value system.

“November 3, there was no blue wave. There was a red wave and there was a disputed presidential election but what is concern here and what is at issue – and I think the country knows this – is that I don’t want this country to lose its heritage and foundation,” he said. “We put two socialist democrats in the Senate, we lose the American value system and that’s why I went to Georgia as a civil rights attorney, as a black American, as a person who loves this country, our nation is at stake,” he continued.

“It’s quite interesting, Stuart, that Joe Biden is holding off his selection for attorney general, the top cop. Why? Because he wants to see those results and if it’s a democratic victory, we’re going to get a radical attorney general,” he added.

“We have to win Georgia.”

With just one day until the runoff election, Terrell urged that the world will be watching.

“I think there’s going to be a delay. I think there’s so many poll watchers. The entire nation, the entire world is watching Georgia,” he said. “Georgia is the epicenter of this nation for the next 48 hours and I will submit to you that this results, the challenges, expect a final result not tomorrow but later in the week.”
