TERRELL: ‘To divide the Republican party would be a mistake, but I came to the Republican party for Donald Trump’

“I voted for Donald Trump because of his policies and his programs.”

In the wake of the Capitol riot Wednesday, Leo Terrell appeared on Newsmax to discuss the critical path forward for the republican party.

“I voted republican. I voted for Donald Trump because of his policies and his programs,” he said. “They are effective on the national level and they are effective on the local level. He made the party relevant to the people you were just discussing – the everyday man and woman – locally, statewide and nationally.”

Terrell said that splitting the republican party would be a mistake, but urged that there needs to be a common ground agreement on President Trump’s policies and programs.

“To be very honest, to divide the republican party would be a mistake but I came to the republican party for Donald Trump, not Mitch McConnell,” he said. “And there needs to be a really strong debate locally to convince the old guard republicans that you described of the policies and the programs of Donald Trump,” he added.

“Those policies and programs have to survive because that’s what enlarged the party. That’s why Donald J. Trump got 12 million additional votes. That’s why Donald J. Trump got Leo James Terrell.”

Terrell agreed that the focus must be shifted to state and local politics.

“I’m fighting a two front war in California. First, in Los Angeles with our District Attorney who basically has given a get out of jail free card for criminals. Secondly, our governor who has basically shut us down and has denied us freedom,” he said.

“I love this country and I’m fighting hard for this country. That’s why I’m on this program, that’s why you hear me talking and the need to get these changes on a local level: school choice, law and order,” he added.

What difference would it make if the party divided, they don’t stand for Republicans once they are in office anyway

Most members of Congress are millionaires on salaries of about $175k per year. Both parties. Think about it. They don’t want him to curtail their gray train. Sad. Harry Truman said if you get rich in politics you’re a crook. Sorry for this comment.

Thank You, Leo Terrell, for standing up for Our Beloved President Trump! What happened, yesterday reminded me of what happened to Julius Caesar by a bunch of Senators who stabbed him 23 times! Mike Pence played Brutus.

God Bless you Leo! We need reform and honesty and our Republican leaders need to stand up for those Republicans like Trump who did the right things not the popular things. We were gaslighted all year with violence being called peaceful protests, honest hardworking cops sworn to an oath and duty and love for the law and citizens being abused with the blessing of Dems and BLM activists and many Republicans did nothing!
Please keep fighting for those Republicans that love our families, God, and fellow Patriots not because of skin color, gender, political or religious belief but because we are honest hard working Americans blessed to live in our beautiful country. Thanks so much for your voice and all that you have done and will continue to do!

We need a new party – the Republican-Freedom Party. It caucuses with the Republicans, but its campaign contributions aren’t under the control of Rinos.

Sadly, I think the only way we will rid ourselves of political corruption is by overthrowing them. NO one has the power to rid us of their evil , illegal ways! These last 4 years and todays outcome, reiterate it. We are NOW a communist country

There needs to be a Republican-Freedom Party which caucuses with the Republicans but which raises and spends its own campaign funds outside of the control of Rinos.

Mr. Terrell, I have always respected you, even I didn’t agree with you. Which was often. You can join a dying party if you want to.
While you have earned and retain my respect, your new party has lost mine. Not just because of these last few hours or the recent days or the election debacle. The GOP leadership has continued to show itself to be weak, cowardly and feckless. The only thing giving their party energy was DJT. With him gone, watch all their extra support dry up over the course of 2021.
Once again, Mr. Terrell, God bless you. I will not talk trash about you. You are a MAN. And your new party certainly needs more of those.

    January 7, 2021 at 7:43 pm

What would it take to start a new party, one that truly supports and would actually fight and preserve the law and order of this country, the constitution, and the policies that our great President Trump put in place!?

Hello Mr Leo Terrell ,always looking forward to your words of wisdom and common sense.I’m Canadian and a Trump supporter.I just resigned from the Conservative Party of Canada and joined the Republican Party of Canada. I found out that our Conservative PM Harper had made a secret deal with Chinafor 31 years. Our current PM Trudeau a Liberal and a Communist and wants to do the Great Reset to Communism. When I found it was the Conservatives were responsible I felt betrayed.
You have a wonderful dayand God Bless.

You are one of the greats Leo and I wish your new party would have stood behind you the way you have for them. But it looks like both sides are really just one. They have proof that since the election. Because I will never vote for a Rep. or Dem ever again. Might as well give it all to the Dems / Socialist and get it over with. Besides the Republicans have ZERO power now and will not even be listened to. So they might as well just go home for the next two years because they will probably be voted out next time by the crooked elections anyway. You have my complete respect for being a man with common since Leo. A new party with Trump leading will have at least 70 million votes that are legal votes. But I do not think we will ever have another fair election. The Socialist have taken over and no one has the will or power to stop it. think about it out of 350 million in the US do you think 160 million really voted. Trump won by a land slide but the Socialist have recruited so many Communist into its party and have learned they can be as corrupt as they want and just lie about any truth we find on them and they have no one to answer for anymore.

Leo, Republicans like Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell divided the party when they sided with the left, set our President up and didn’t fight for the people who elected them. We now see who and how MOST of them are and need a new party with people like Mo Brooks, Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz. You came for Donald Trump as many did, but they don’t want him or what’s good for Americans; they proved that when only a handful of them objected to this fraudulent election. I’m not going to continue to support that. That tells them they can do and act anyway they choose and will continue to be supported. Nope..

Trump Says Reports On A Conflict With DeSantis Are ‘Fake News’

Ron DeSantis

During a Fox News interview on Thursday, former President Donald Trump shot down recent reports claiming that there were rising tensions between the former president and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, saying it was “fake news” and that DeSantis has “done a really terrific job in Florida.”

Trump’s comments came in response to an article from The New York Times claiming that Trump had a “long-stewing resentment” toward DeSantis.

“For months, former President Donald J. Trump has been grumbling quietly to friends and visitors to his Palm Beach mansion about a rival Republican power center in another Florida mansion, some 400 miles to the north,” The New York Times wrote. “Gov. Ron DeSantis, a man Mr. Trump believes he put on the map, has been acting far less like an acolyte and more like a future competitor, Mr. Trump complains. With his stock rising fast in the party, the governor has conspicuously refrained from saying he would stand aside if Mr. Trump runs for the Republican nomination for president in 2024.”

Hannity said that he was recently told that DeSantis does not think there has been “any conflict or bickering” between the two and that the report was “total BS” from the mainstream media.

“Is he right?” Hannity asked.

“Well, he is right,” Trump responded. “I get along great with Ron. Ron was very good on the Mueller hoax. He was right up front along with Jim Jordan, and all of the rest of them, they were fantastic. The Republicans really stuck together. And it was a great thing. And Ron was one of them. And Ron wanted to run and I endorsed him. And that helped him greatly.”

“And he went on and he’s done a really terrific job in Florida, and I think you know, Ron has been very good,” Trump continued. “He’s been a friend of mine for a long time. It’s totally fake news. I think Ron said last week, he said it very publicly, he says the press is never going to get in the middle of my friendship with Donald Trump, we’re not going to do that stuff. And he said it very strongly, I thought it was very interesting, actually. And very nice. But he said that, and I agree with him on that 100%. No, I have a very good relationship with Ron and intend to have it for a long time.”

Youngkin Replaces State’s Department of Equity and Inclusion with Anti-CRT Leaders

Move over ‘Critical Race Theory’ there’s a new Sheriff in town

Move over ‘Critical Race Theory’ there’s a new Sheriff in town. Newly elected Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin just ripped the roof off of Virginia’s “woke” elite. Youngkin completely gutted the employees of the state’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and then rebuilt it, filling the positions with reasonable individuals.

Christopher Rufo tweeted, “Glenn Youngkin has asked all of the state’s DEI employees to resign and tapped anti-critical race theory leader Angela Sailor to lead the department. In her first move, Sailor eliminated the word ‘equity’ and replaced it with ‘opportunity.”

Youngkin asked all of the state’s DEI employees to resign, then put Sailor in charge to lead the department. Sailor is a former policy expert at The Heritage Foundation;. Having replaced the word ‘equity’ for ‘opportunity’ at the department, Sailor is now formally the DOI “Director of Diversity, Opportunity and Inclusion.”

Citizen Free Press reports “Youngkin also issued an executive order to refocus the DEI office, tasking Sailor and her staff to work on economic opportunity, cooperation among religious groups, promoting ‘free speech and civil discourse’ at colleges and universities, and ensuring that Virginia’s history curriculum is ‘honest, objective, and complete.”

Rufo’s tweet included a link to an article by the Richmond Times-Dispatch which reported “Former Gov. Ralph Northam created the state’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in 2019 in the aftermath of the blackface scandal that nearly ended his term. The office has been unstaffed since its former chief and her four staffers, who served at the will of the governor, were not asked to stay in their jobs.”

Richmond Times-Dispatch reports:

Youngkin’s first executive order signed Saturday seeks to ban “inherently divisive” concepts from Virginia classrooms.

In recent blog posts for The Heritage Foundation, Sailor said that lessons arguing that “America is systemically racist,” are “the textbook definition of racism.”

“No one would argue that children shouldn’t be thoroughly taught about the evils of racism, slavery, and segregation that happened in this country,” she wrote in July in a piece titled, “Schools Hiding Behind Diversity and Inclusion Rhetoric to Spew Critical Race Theory Vile.”

“But [critical race theory] ignores the hundreds of thousands of lives that were sacrificed during the Civil War to end slavery, the long struggle of the civil rights movement to end segregation and win equality, and the reality that the nation has made great progress.”
