VIDEO: 24-Year-Old Dodgers Ball Girl Tackles Unruly Fan Security Couldn’t Catch
Never send a man to do a woman’s job, they say. In this case, it was seven security guards at the Los Angeles Dodgers stadium who received the backup of one young ball girl. Forget baseball and the All-Star athletes; the real MVP was 24-year-old Marissa Rohan.
In one of the best-captured videos of all time, Rohan tackled an unruly fan who was chased by security as he ran across the field during Sunday’s game in which the Los Angeles Dodgers claimed an 8-2 victory over the Angels.
Stadium security couldn’t catch up to the fan as they chased him across the infield and onto the outfield grass. Finally, as the man ran towards the foul territory near the first baseline, ball girl Rohan tackled the fan which forced him to flip over the wall. The crowd went wild and various videos of the encounter were tweeted by many accounts, receiving millions of views.
Fox News reports Rohan is a senior at California State University, pursuing a degree in deaf studies and is a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Rohan is also a former gymnast and softball player. Rohan has worked for the team since 2019.
