You Can’t Sit With Us: Congressional Black Caucus Blocks Republican From Membership

Published

Byron Donalds

Apparently there is only one rule required in order to join the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC). No, it’s not to be a Black congressman or congresswoman; it’s to not be a Republican. Black House Republican member Byron Donalds (R-FL) is being blocked from joining the caucus.

Donalds’s office says they have been given “the cold shoulder” after repeated attempts to reach out to the CBC’s members. One source confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the caucus was in fact blocking Donalds’s membership.

Donalds is one of two Black Republicans in the House. His spokesman Harrison Fields said, “the sad reality is although the Congressman and those in the CBC share the same race, the (R) behind his name disqualifies him from membership today.”

A CBC spokesperson did not have the courage to admit their actions for what they are. Instead, the spokesman stated the caucus “remains committed to fighting for issues that support Black communities, including the police accountability bill, protecting voting rights, and a jobs bill that helps our communities.”

In essence, the CBC believes Black Republicans have zero intention to “support Black communities.” The spokesperson added, “we will work with those who share our values and priorities for the constituents we serve.” How very rich of them; to blame the constituents’ interest when they have zero input on the caucus’ membership.

Donalds’s office allegedly has spoken with three CBC members about joining the group, but to no avail, despite pointing out his bipartisan efforts in Congress and willingness to engage with the caucus. Donalds was part of the Black caucus in Florida when he served in the state House.

Currently there are no Republican members in the CBC, but there have been Black GOP members in the group in the past. Republican Congressman from Utah Burgess Owens is the second Black Republican House member who publicly stated before he won his election that he did not plan to join the CBC.

Jim Crow Joes’ favorite Afro-Americans continue to lie about the inclusiveness of the their Black community. Remember that the Democratic Party would not let you vote being black in the South unless you supported their candidates and would not let Blacks have guns to protect themselves until the the beginning of the 1900’s. And Trump never was a racist in comparison to Jim Crow Joe.

BLM Leader Vows to ‘Abolish’ NYC Mayor De Blasio’s Vax Passports

Says ‘Free Pass to Racism’,  ‘Modern-Day Freedom Papers’

New York Mayor Bill De Blasio’s vaccine mandates and consequential vaccine passports necessary to enter most bars and restaurants in the city are being dubbed racist by a Black Lives Matter leader.

Chivona Newsome co-founded the Greater New York Chapter of BLM and also ran as a congressional candidate in 2020 for New York’s 15th district sent a statement to Fox News explaining the claims of racism.

“Although Mayor Bill De Blasio ran on progressives values, nothing in his tenure will attest to his campaign promises,” Newsome stated. “The September 13th vaccine mandate is racist and specifically targets Black New Yorkers. The vaccination passports are modern-day Freedom Papers, which limit the free will of Black people.”

De Blasio’s mandates went into effect September 13, ordering indoor establishments making patrons show proof of vaccination before entering. Businesses can face fines up to $5,000 for not complying. On September 20, the Mayor’s office announced it had already issued 3,200 warnings to businesses in the first week.

Newsome continued, “The vaccination mandates infringe upon the civil liberties of the Black community…It’s more than where we can dine or enjoy entertainment, it will result in loss of income. As of Monday, September 27, Black health care workers and educators will lose their jobs.”

Newsome’s concerns for minorities and repercussions such as losing jobs is the same reasoning hundreds of groups and unions across the country have stood up against Biden’s vaccine mandate. Postal workers, Police unions, Nurse Unions and Hospital administrators are all amongst those expressing outrage.

Newsome says De Blasio’s actions are a direct attack on black Americans, and he “chose to disenfranchise and force the very people who elected him into poverty and second-class citizenship.”

She explained that de Blasio is, “fully aware of the hesitancy and distrust people of African descent have about vaccination and their interactions with government and law enforcement.” Newsome concluded, “the vaccination passport will not be a free pass to racism. Our organization pledges to demonstrate until the vaccine mandate is abolished.”

Democrat Pushes Back On False Claim Border Patrol Agents Whipped Migrants

Henry Cuellar

During a CNN interview on Tuesday, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) pushed back on false claims by other Democrat lawmakers that U.S. Border Patrol agents riding horses were swinging whips at illegal immigrants trying to cross the southern border.

CNN anchor Victor Blackwell pushed the false information during, saying the Border Patrol agents were hitting migrants with what “appears to use what looks like a rope or a lasso” and then asking Cuellar for his reaction.

“Well, you know, certainly, we got to make sure we treat all the immigrants with respect and dignity,” Cuellar responded. “But I will say this, Border Patrol has had those horse brigades for a while, they’ve had them for a while, number one. Number two, they don’t carry whips. And they do not carry lassos. I think the picture you’re talking about, at least the one I’ve seen is the rein, the rein of the horses.”

“And should those be used? Should those be used should even if it is a rein?” Blackwell asked.

“Well, again, if there was a problem, it should be investigated,” Cuellar responded. “And I think that’s it, but we cannot paint the Border Patrol with that same type of paintbrush. Look, you know, what are they supposed to do? Just stand there and let everybody come in? You know, they’re supposed to be enforcing the law, but again, as to how you enforce the law, you got to make sure you treat people with dignity and respect.”

The CNN interview came after a video surfaced of illegal immigrants attempting to evade U.S. Border Patrol agents on horses and run into the country. In response, many Democrats falsely declared that the agents were using whips on the migrants – despite the fact that Border Patrol agents do not carry whips and there being zero evidence any of the agents struck any of the migrants.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), for example, tweeted, “The images of inhumane treatment of Haitian migrants by Border Patrol—including the use of whips—are unacceptable They are fleeing violence and natural disaster and seeking protection in our country The Administration must uphold our refugee laws and stop Title 42 deportations.”
